We're thrilled to announce that Ototo has been acquired into the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Paola Antonelli, on the MoMA blog:
"These objects reflect the deep and central role technology and interface design now play in education, production, and our everyday lives. In their own unique ways they allow audiences—artists, designers, and active maker-culture enthusiasts, pros, children, and amateurs—to engage with the processes and final products that are usually the preserve of electronic engineers."
We're extremely privileged and proud that Ototo has a home in MoMA, along with some great company with Arduino, Makey Makey, Technology Will Save Us and Yuri's Colour Chasers. Thanks to the MoMA acquisition committee and everyone who has helped us along the way.
That's not all, Ototo is also now available at the MoMA Design Store in New York and online – just in time for Christmas.
